Switzerland - July 2011
Our Advanced band took part in the 29th Cudrefin Steelband Festival in July 2011. The band performed two sets which went down very well despite the rainy weather. They also performed at local restaurants and had some free time to enjoy the local area and swim in the lakes. A fantastic time was had by all and we hope to go back for a special 30th anniversary festival in 2012.
Royal Albert Hall - 8 November 2011
The Advanced along with some year 8 band members performed the same pieces that impressed judges at the National Festival in July where the band won a special award for outstanding performance. Visit the Music for Youth website to listen to us at the Schools Prom 2011.
