Careers
The Littlehampton Academy is committed to providing our students with a programme of careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) for all students in Years 7 to 13.
High quality careers education and guidance at TLA is critical for our students’ futures. It will help to prepare them for the workplace by providing a clear understanding of the world of work including the routes to jobs and careers that they might find engaging and rewarding. It supports students to acquire the self-development and career management skills they need to achieve positive employment, whilst supporting students to acquire the knowledge, skills and confident to fulfil their potential.
Benefits to learners
- Students have both self and opportunity awareness.
- Demonstrating what is open to young people will act as a significant motivator.
- Higher levels of motivation will increase aspiration and help to pave the way for higher achievement.
- Well-planned CEIAG students are much more likely to make the right choices at transition points and will prevent NEETs and reduce dropout rates.
Our Careers Leader is Mrs Gresty and she is based in the Careers Hub located in the Littlehampton Academy College building.
