Co-Curricular
Enrichment entitlement at TLA includes clubs (at lunchtime and after school), activity days (three days this academic year), organised trips, visitors to the school, other activities and educational experiences. After school clubs are activities on offer at the end of the school day from 3 pm onwards.
The enrichment programme supports and enhances the curriculum and allows it to be placed in the wider context of the world we live in. The programme helps students to relate curriculum content to the real world experience, whilst preparing students to be ambitious and successful in their futures beyond TLA. It looks to develop and foster key skills and attitudes such as: Leadership, Problem Solving, Creative thinking, Initiative and self-direction, Discovery, Higher order thinking skills, Personal interests, Self-acceptance, Self-esteem, Perseverance and Courage to make a difference
This academic year the TLA Enrichment and Leadership Programme is designed to encourage students to pursue three key pathways through the activities and opportunities on offer. These pathways are personal development, work related experience and contribution to the community. The expectation is for every student at TLA to have completed activities/clubs in all three areas by the end of the academic year.
